In the UK, over 20 million people have an MSK condition, and each year, more than 30 million workdays are lost due to MSK-related issues. In England alone, up to 30% of GP appointments are focused on MSK concerns. Optimising the treatment and management of these conditions is crucial for improving health outcomes and reducing the societal impact.

Solution

Living With and East Coast Community Healthcare have partnered to create an innovative and engaging way to manage MSK rehabilitation. The Living With MSK app allows clinicians to send bespoke exercises and useful information straight to a patient’s phone. Alongside this, patients have access to hundreds of exercise videos, expert advice on managing common aches and pains, and all the resources you need for your recovery – available anytime, anywhere.

Frequently asked questions (patients)

Who is the app for?

The app has specifically been designed for patients who are under the care of the ECCH MSK Physiotherapy team.

Do I need the app to get my exercises?

No, but the app keeps all your rehabilitation plans, exercises and information in one place, making it easier to stay organised.

Can I still get printed exercises?

Yes, we’re happy to provide printed exercises if you’d prefer.

Is the app free to use?

Yes, the app is completely free!

Can I use the app on my computer?

The app is available on mobile devices (phones and tablets) only; it is not accessible on desktop computers.

Not at all. Your appointments will remain unchanged and you will always be able to see a physiotherapist. The app is designed to sit alongside anything you and your clinician discuss and to help you keep all your physiotherapy information in one place.
